It took over 2 years to eventually make, because we had 2 versions, a real OG version (our actual first game), and we spun this game based on the first one, however, this was the first game built with the Cocos 2D-X engine.
Update:July 2020. Thank you to the many thousands of people worldwide who played and enjoyed this game, unfortunately the App Store needed us to update the SDK in the build, and since it is a free game for now we've decided to pull it from the App Store.
Below is the Promo for Space Scavenger 1. We built this game in Xcode, and it was a fun game, but as developers, we wanted to progress and use a cross-platform game engine, and we decided on Cocos 2D-X, because Chris is a traditional C++ programmer, and that is the native language of that engine. Space Scavenger 2.0 was built on Cocos 2D-X, and we launched in July of 2016.
